Ringo is the only one of the former Beatles to fail to score a UK number one solo single. This song, which stopped in second place, was his biggest solo hit.
That peaked at #9 in the US. He had two #1 songs here, Photograph and You're Sixteen, which featured Paul McCartney playing the kazoo.
"Photograph" peaked at 8 in the UK and "You're Sixteen" peaked at 4. Both songs are on the "Ringo" album which was the nearest there ever was to a Beatles reunion. All the former Beatles appear on the album, just not on the same tracks. "Photograph" was co-written with George Harrison who also plays on it. John Lennon appears on another track on the album. None of the tracks (as far as I know) feature more than two former Beatles together (including Ringo, of course).
