The unaddressed issues around slavery led to the Civil War.From 1870 to 1913, no amendments were passed. The unadressed issues surrounding industrialization, imperialism, wealth/income inequality, and increasing economic volatility led to the Progressive Era and measures such as the income tax, the Federal Reserve, direct election of Senators, and granting women the right to vote. What form do you think the next shift in Constitutional structure will take? less

It doesn't impress anyone else - it's just for you?For me it's really a silly thing.. I paint my nails, well gel nails.. and they make me smile.. they don't DO anything.. i just like them :) Lol something you don't have to do... like I HAVE to detest Trump but i don't HAVE to paint my nails, it's an indulgence. less

I thought about that but I wouldn't do it that way. That would be a lot of food to eat!If you don't have your holiday dinner at home do you just pick a relative and stick with your choice or make the rounds? less
I've actually heard this many times, mostly from the young people I deal with. Why do Americans think they invented everything that matters?Or, did they?

How does that make any sense at all? Why isn't the thing itself the only important thing?

Not talking about our political differences made for a very splendid holiday. Hope yours was splendid too! Imagine that? How happy we were together by simply stifling it! Imagine that?
