About a month ago, I was offered job by a former co-worker who will be starting his own company. I investigated the situation for about two weeks before deciding to turn it down, there were many reasons I did it, the three main ones were that I have absolutely no training, experience or knowledge in the field, there was no training time nor training program, and the amount and type of work expected of me were far beyond the proposed salary.

It is one of those felt deer antler head bands that people wear on top of their head and tape it to his collar. He is looking pretty festive right now so it is beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Cheers!

I'm praying his heart would soften and hear the cries of his people and he would take action on their behalf.

The transaction was more than £5, which some businesses set as the lower limit for card payments. Had the barber told me that the card reader was broken, I might have believed him, but even this would have been a poor excuse, because with 4 or 5 people working there you'd expect them to have more than one card machine. If this had been eight or nine months ago, I would have been surprised, but with people increasingly using contactless payments even for small transactions since the start of the pandemic, a business refusing to take cards is an anachronism, and it makes me wonder whether there's something else going on.Do you think this could be a sign that the business is a money-laundering operation? less
