This question was inspired because I’m watching a crime re-enactment show, and the murder “victim” did a great job remaining perfectly still, her chest did not move up and down to betray her live state, good job. However, her eyelashes kept fluttering (ever so slightly), and her and her eyelids twitched at least once or twice. I’ve often wondered why producers and directors don’t opt for a still shot of the supposed “deceased” so as not to worry about requiring a live human to pass himself or herself off as a dead one.

As for me, I usually prefer softback books, as they are easier for me to hold and read. I might get a hardback if the book doesn’t come in softback form or if the book is perhaps a very special one to me.

Our firstborn was just six months old at the time, my wife and I packed up our household and the three of us made the move. Our car was not expected to arrive from Hawaii for about three more weeks, but not to worry, my brother was in the Army and he offered to let me use his car in the meantime. The glitch was that he was temporarily on overseas duty in South Korea, and his car was at his friend's place near Fort Bragg, North Carolina, so I would have to go pick it up. The distance was about 125 miles, and since I didn't know anyone in North Carolina, my wife and I decided it would be a simple day-trip on the Greyhound bus, get the car, and be home by evening. My brother gave me the name, address and telephone number of his friend who was holding the car, and off we went. According to my brother, his friend was eit... less

“Better Love Next Time” by Dr. Hook and the Medicine Show, 1979. The expression is ‘better luck next time’.
LYRICS:
I'm your friend, you can talk to me
I read your face, I see misery
So the one you love has left you dry
Don't start believing that you're gonna die
Just pick your heart up off the floor
And try, try again
You'll find better love next time, baby
Don't give up and I know you're gonna find
Better love next time, baby
Someone will be waiting down the line
With better love, better love, better love, better love next time
Sometimes it's better to let it all go
I've been there and I think I should know
So have a good cry, wash out your heart
If you keep it inside it'll tear you apart
Sometimes you lose but you're gonna win
If you just, if you just keep hanging in
You'll find better love next time, baby
Don't give up and I know you're gonna find
Better love next time, baby
Someone will be waiting down the line

“Dream Lover” by Bobby Darin, 1959.
LYRICS:
Every night, I hope and prayA dream lover will come my wayA girl to hold in my armsAnd know the magic of her charms'Cause I wantA girlTo callMy ownI want a dream loverSo I don't have to dream alone
Dream lover, where are you? With a love, oh so trueAnd the hand that I can holdTo feel you near as I grow old'Cause I wantA girlTo callMy ownI want a dream loverSo I don't have to dream alone
Someday, I don't know howI hope she'll hear my pleaSome way, I don't know howShe'll bring her love to me
Dream lover, until thenI'll go to sleep and dream againThat's the only thing to do, ‘til all my lover's dreams come true'Cause I wantA girlTo callMy ownI want a dream loverSo I don't have to dream…~ less

The lavender scent and lavender oils stuck to my clothes and skin so now that I am home I'm like a talking room air freshener. Cheers!
