I ignore them, but are they trying to raise money? Are they employees or volunteers?

It was a fudge cake that set this train of thinking in motion.. Last time I had this fudge cake, it was great... I'd have given it 4 out of 5. But this time, it was more like a 2 as it was messy and not well put together, misshapen too. Yet, it was the same fudge cake.... Perhaps it's just me who has these strange thoughts? less

They were once the domain of the big three TV networks, then cable came along, and premium channels, and the scope/intensity of the awards universe expanded, then the internet, etc. It’s now been at least a couple of decades since I last had even the slightest interest in awards ceremonies
Are entertainment-related awards ceremonies still the Big Deal that they used to be? If not, why not?~ less

I had the ventilation improved to carry out the draft, muggy air, the noise-canceling acoustics diminish the echoing of the screams, tract lighting has been installed so there’s no more stumbling around in the dark, the restraints are fur-lined, the vicious guard dogs are fed weekly instead of biweekly, the locking mechanisms are now rubber-lined to cut down on the harshness of hearing them slammed shut, I’ve incorporated more fragrances of massage oils into the rotation . . .~ less

Why should I care? Deep down, I don't. The album remains my favorite. And I really like all of their albums. It's interesting at times for me -- sometimes being on the outside, looking in at everyone else who seem to be saying and thinking and doing what I seemingly "should" be saying and thinking and doing -- at odds with what everyone else says and thinks and does, i.e., "We can all agree that 'Around the Sun' is the WORST R.E.M. album." And then they all argue about what is the best R.E.M. album. And I "sit" there on the other side of the "room," thinking, "Uh. . . well, I guess I don't have much to add to the argument of the best album since my best is the worst." Ha!:)And, of course, yes -- I've been listening to "Around the Sun" on 'repeat' the whole time I posted this question, ha! :) less

I confess I haven't cleaned them nearly as much as I should have, but have been so busy with working 2 jobs and studying as well. They look much nicer now and I have resolved to try to clean them more often, but I wonder how often most people clean theirs?

What are all of your body parts that you cannot look at directly, cannot see just by looking straight at them? You can twist and turn as much as you like and see many parts of your own body, but certainly not all of them. I think there are a myriad that we don’t even realize we’ve never seen directly. Let’s collectively compile a list of all of them. Example: your spine.
*Before anyone suggests it, looking at your reflection in water, steel, glass, or looking at drawings, photos of yourself or any other object/device are also discounted. This is direct vision from your eye or your eyes to your own body parts.~ less

(((As soon as I can, I’m going to get rid of this yellow sofa that I bought at a garage sale. Today. I should probably plan it out very carefully. Later today. There’s no real hurry, so at least by this afternoon. Late in the afternoon. Well, maybe tomorrow evening, it’s the best time. Actually, it’s kind of comfy. Definitely before the end of the week. Or next week, who knows? I’ll sleep on it just to be sure.)))~
