What do you think? I'd pay one of them to take care of my yard and my car, wouldn't you? Some of the are running for their lives; they'd probably work dirt cheap just to be in a safe country. No doubt some of them have very marketable skills. It's a waste of human resource to send them away, to say the least. less

I've remained unmarried, and I know I'll never marry for this very reason. And though I've been in relationships and am in a relationship at present, I often wonder how long I can continue this way of life. I'm close to 47, my parents, whom I'm very close to though I live separately, are getting on in years, and I'm very scared that real loneliness will set in after they're gone. less
At 46, I find it easier when the age difference is at least 10 years either way, even closer to 20. I know it's weird, and often wonder if there are others in a similar predicament.

When we use phrases like ‘undocumented workers,’ we convey a message to the American people that their government is not serious about combating illegal immigration.”
Policy:
Illegal immigration is wrong, and future illegal immigration must be curtailed.
Control of borders is needed through increased infrastructure (fences, borders), and security personal at the border
We need an employment verification system to guarantee that all workers hired are in the country legally. This must be strictly enforced with penalties for those who don’t comply.
Those currently in the country illegally to be required to register with the government and submit to a rigorous process of becoming a legal citizen, or face deportation.
Reducing illegal immigration will make more room for legal family immigration.
We must encourage the world’s “best and brightes... less

We simply can’t afford it.
“And, I think you’ve seen the figures, to state and local governments, of what the cost is. It’s over two billion dollars in California alone."

We are a generous and welcoming people here in the United States but those who enter the country illegally and those who employ them disrespect the rule of law and they are showing disregard for those following the law. We simply cannot allow people to pour into the United States undetected, undocumented, unchecked and circumventing the line of people who are waiting patiently, diligently and lawfully to become immigrants in this country. less

We were on a well-traveled stretch of highway, but it was somewhat remote. He said he had run out of gas, so I volunteered to take him to the closest service station. Turns out, the place didn't sell gas cans, so he went person to person in the parking lot to see if he could borrow one or buy one from someone. At the same time, another guy walked up- he, too, had run out of gas and was trying to find a can to buy or a loaner, and the two guys sat there and started a bidding war over one random traveler's gas can. O_oIs that normal? Don't most service stations sell gas cans? Or should we all be carrying them with us just in case? less
